The Winners receive major funding and gain national recognition for impactful ideas and respective share of the N10m prize in ₦5,000,000 ₦3,000,000 and ₦2,000,000 denominations respectively.

The Flour Mills of Nigeria Innovation Prize 5.0 targets innovative practices in cassava production and processing. The goal involves strengthening Nigeria’s food systems through practical, scalable solutions.
The FMN Prize for Innovation accepts entries from students and registered MSMEs across Nigeria.
The FMN Prize for Innovation is a social impact initiative established by Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN) to encourage new ideas in food production, innovation, and engineering, and how these can enable a sustainable food system in Nigeria.
Every year, the prize will focus on an important aspect of the food value chain that we believe is critical to transforming and sustainable development of the country’s food systems. This year, the FMN Prize for Innovation (FMN PFI) is looking for big ideas, technology-powered solutions, and simple yet ingenious Innovative.

Who IS Eligible?
To join the Flour Mills of Nigeria Innovation competition, meet the following requirements:
- Nigerian resident aged 18 or above
- Student with interest in food or agro-allied sector, or registered food or agro-allied business
- Single entry per applicant
- No entry fee required
- Excludes employees of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc and related persons
- Multiple entries lead to disqualification

Category 1. SMEs
- ₦ N5 million for first place
- ₦ N3 Million for second place
- ₦ 2 Million for third place
Category 2. Students
