The Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP) is now open for applications. Through the Fashion Academy Abuja, this initiative is designed to bridge skill gaps and empower the next generation of fashion innovators with both technical expertise and business acumen.

CLAP is a strategic effort to strengthen Nigeria’s fashion value chain by offering practical, industry-focused training for early-stage fashion entrepreneurs. The programme will be rolled out in two phases:
- September to October 2025
- March 2026
Monitoring and feedback will be conducted continuously in collaboration between the Ministry and the Fashion Academy Abuja.
Courses Offered
Participants will take part in fully practical training. Applicants can choose one of the following specialized courses:
- Pattern Making and Professional Sewing Techniques
- Fashion Business and Branding
These courses are designed to equip fashion entrepreneurs with the right balance of creative skills and business knowledge needed to thrive in the industry.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for CLAP, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a minimum of an O-Level certificate
- Demonstrate basic knowledge in tailoring or fashion business
- Provide evidence of an existing fashion business or portfolio
- Show commitment to growth and professional development
