The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced the commencement of the massive CDCFIB recruitment exercise into four major paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior.
This latest recruitment drive offers job opportunities for young, qualified Nigerians seeking to build a stable career with attractive benefits in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
In a public statement released by the CDCFIB, the Board stated, βThe general public is hereby informed that recruitment into the following four agencies has officially commenced: Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.β
The statement further disclosed that applications are now being accepted from suitably qualified candidates to fill existing vacancies in the different positions within these agencies. Interested applicants are encouraged to seize this golden opportunity and apply through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal before the deadline.
The recruitment exercise covers three main categories: General Duty, Inspectorate Cadre, and Assistant Cadre. Each category has its own requirements and qualifications.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointment to fill existing vacancies in the following positions in the Nigerian Correctional Service. Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, respectively:
CATEGORY A: GENERAL DUTY
SUPERINTENDENT CADRE
i. Superintendent of Corrections, CONMENS 02
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from a recognised institution.
Note: This position is only available in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCOS)
ii. Assistant Superintendent I, CONPASS 09
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following Engineering field (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Water Engineering other allied related fields or Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB, LLM) Dom a recognized Institution Note: This position is only available in the Federal Fire Service (FFS)
III. Assistant Superintendent II, CONPASS 08
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Higher National Diploma from a recognized Institution.
CATEGORY B: INSPECTORATE CADRE
i. Inspector, CONHESS 06
Applicants must be registered Nurses (IRN), Registered. Midwives (RM), Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) obtained from recognized institutions

ii. Assistant Inspector, CONPASS 06
Applicants must be holders of NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field, obtained from any recognized Polytechnic Institution.
i. Assistant II. CONPASS 04 (General Duty)
CATEGORY ASSISTANT CADRE
Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE NECO or other equivalents with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, which should include English and Mathematics or holders of Trade Test Grade 11 (Motor Driver Mechanics Auto Electricians.
ii. Assistant III (General Duty, Drivers/Appliance Operators and Artisans) CONPASS03
Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or other equivalents with a minimum of four (4) credits in not more than two sittings or holders of Trade Test Grade III (Motor Driver Mechanics, And electricians).
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Applications shall be done online. Applicants are expected to log on to the Board’s portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng as of Monday, 14th July 2025, to fill out and submit their application online.
Applicants should NOTE that they can apply in only ONE of the four (4) Paramilitary Agencies of their choice and that multiple applications across the Paramilitary Agencies will automatically be disqualified.

STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RECRUITMENT
Requirements for Applicants
1. Must be Nigerian by birth
2. Must possess the required educational qualifications
3. Must be physically and mentally fit with a valid Medical Fitness Certificate from a recognized Government Hospital
4. Must be of good character with no criminal conviction
5. Must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment
6. Age limit is between 18 and 35 years
7. Minimum height requirement is 1.65m for men and 1.60m for women
8. Male applicants must have a chest measurement of not less than 0.87m
9. Computer literacy is considered an added advantage
The recruitment portal officially opens on Thursday, 26th June, 2025, and will remain open for three (3) weeks.
