The AFRODAD Internship Program 2026 gives young Africans a chance to gain experience in policy, research, and advocacy. It helps graduates grow their skills and understand how development and debt management work in Africa.
About the Program
The AFRODAD Internship Program is organized by the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development. It trains young professionals to support fair and sustainable development in Africa.
Available Internship Tracks (6 Months)
Interns will work under one of the following thematic or operational areas:
- Policy, Research & Advocacy
- Sovereign Debt Management (SDM)
- Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM)
- Legal, Advocacy & Analysis on Debt (LAAD) International
- Public & Private Finance (IPPF)
- Campaigns & Communication
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (M&E)
- Human Resources & Administration
- Finance & Administration
- Executive Director’s Office

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the AFRODAD Internship Program 2026, you must:
- Be an African citizen
- Be between 20 and 35 years old
- Hold a degree in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related fields
- Have good writing and analytical skills
- Be available for 3–6 months
